I worked in a restaurant for a few years and came to loathe some of the people that came into that place everyday (or twice a day). We both must have liked people at one point, since we both got married.draxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100810922121360470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2441752740849657576.post-44779302310384940412011-02-10T03:10:00.897-06:002011-02-10T03:10:00.897-06:00I agree completely with what you're saying: my...I agree completely with what you're saying: my need for human contact also seems to have faded away, if it was ever there. When I was working as a barista in a bookstore cafe, I found myself hating/disliking people for the silliest reasons. The drink they ordered, the way they ordered it, the books they were carrying... There was a regular I dreaded seeing, simply because I hated the sound of his voice so much.

It sounds horribly shallow when I talk about it that way, but it's true. As a whole, I just do not like people. Unfortunate, but true.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one. :)hlwilliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10565426737935621948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2441752740849657576.post-35119060596172057752011-02-09T09:18:27.063-06:002011-02-09T09:18:27.063-06:00As per the thread on UF you know I can definitely ...As per the thread on UF you know I can definitely commiserate with you on the weather. What I was really surprised about was that you want to be a hermit. I too want to be a hermit, but it was not always so. I used to like people, honestly. I used to be the life of the party, but lately people just mostly annoy me. It started with Facebook. I started making connections with old friends only to find that most of them are crazy, that is to say that they don't share my point of view on much of anything. I suppose that could mean that I am the crazy one. Either way, I realized that I would be perfectly happy to never leave my house as long as I had access to books, movies, and the internet. I believe that my need for human contact has passed.draxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100810922121360470noreply@blogger.com
